ONE GALAXY.
MANY POWERS. — the galaxy of Echoes Beyond: two million star systems across eight great regions

Two million star systems spread across eight great regions, from the close-packed, blazing Core to the far-flung Unknown Fade, and thirteen empires that have carved up everything in between.

// From Core To Unknown Fade

Eight regions of one galaxy.

Two rings at the heart, four quadrants around the rim, and two long stretches of dark past the arm. The names are for finding your way, not for telling you how to play: no region is safer, richer or harder than another. What changes is distance — the stars stand close in the Core and thin out toward the rim, so the further out you go, the longer every hop between systems takes.

01

The Core

Where the light never dims.

The first space humanity claimed in the new galaxy: bright, crowded and close-packed. Systems sit a short hop apart here, so everything happens fast — including the arrival of your neighbours.

Dense · Short hops
02

Inner Expanse

The settled heartland.

The broad ring beyond the Core, where the stars still stand close and the lanes stay short. Room to grow without a long haul between one system and the next.

Close-set · Busy lanes
03

Shattered Expanse

Broken country, north-east rim.

A quadrant of the rim strewn with the wreckage of something enormous. Out here the stars thin and the lanes lengthen — plan the fuel before you plan the route.

Rim Quadrant · Wreckage
04

Ember Reach

Burning country, south-east rim.

Young, furious stars light this stretch of the rim. It looks like fire from the Core; up close it is as far between systems as the rest of the edge.

Rim Quadrant · Young stars
05

Silent Divide

Empty country, south-west rim.

A long quiet stretch of the arm where the stars stand as far apart as anywhere on the rim. Fleets cross it the way they cross the rest of the edge: with fuel to spare, or not at all.

Rim Quadrant · Quiet
06

The Void

Dark country, north-west rim.

The dimmest quarter of the rim, where sensors reach further than anyone wants them to and the nearest neighbour is several long jumps away.

Rim Quadrant · Unlit
07

The Drift

Past the arm.

Beyond the rim the disc gives out and the stars scatter. Long crossings between neighbours, and the first place the echo starts to answer back.

Past the arm · Long crossings
08

Unknown Fade

The edge of the charts.

The outermost dark, where the survey data simply stops. The longest hops in the galaxy, and the only country nobody has finished counting.

Farthest · Uncharted

// The Measure Of It

Big enough to get lost in. Exact enough to trust.

A Dreadnought is 6.66 kilometres of hull, and the galaxy still swallows it whole. Every system in the frame is built from the same honest math, spelled out in the tooltip — two million places waiting for a name.

// The Powers That Remain

Thirteen empires. No thrones to take.

The arks never landed together. Thirteen empires rose from those who came before — the Velthari Dominion, the Ashfall Compact, the Meridian Accord among them — and between them they hold a sixth of all charted space. Their borders were drawn when the galaxy was born, and they have not moved since.

Borders Carved in Stone
Nothing on the map changes hands.

No conquest exists in this galaxy — in either direction. Imperial space can never be taken, and neither can yours. Wars are fought over loot, standing and pride; the map itself is never on the table.

Live nowDefense
Garrisoned Space
Every system answers for itself.

Imperial systems defend themselves, and the deeper you push, the harder they fight. Capitals are fortress worlds an order of magnitude beyond the frontier. Send a probe before you send a fleet — the numbers are honest, and they are not small.

Live nowStanding
A Long Memory
They remember exactly what you did.

Every empire keeps its own account of every commander, from Allied down to At War — moved by trade, by gifts, by raids, by nothing except how you treat them. The provoked strike back, and a grudge outlives the fleet that earned it. The unprovoked are left alone.

Live nowTrade
Thirteen Markets
Every empire trades. What it wants keeps changing.

All thirteen run open ports with rotating specialties, announced ahead of time. Find a port, read what it is short of, and fly your surplus across the dark to meet it — the price follows what the shelves hold and what the port wants, and it moves the moment somebody commits.

// The Tactical Hologram

The map is the game.

Echoes Beyond plays out on one living star chart — not menus about a galaxy, but the galaxy itself. Every strategic fact is drawn where it happens: the lanes, the fleets, the fog, the borders.

"An interstellar empire on a tactical hologram — not buttons on a spreadsheet."— the design charter
Persistent hyperlanes

Fleets fly hop by hop along charted lanes in real time — no teleports, no instant strikes, no way to arrive unannounced.

Routes you can read

Every fleet underway traces a visible path. See it, compute it, and be waiting at the third hop — interception is the tactical game.

Exploration radiance

The dark stays dark until you chart it. Discovered systems glow, and your map becomes the story of everywhere you have been.

Territory you can see

Zoom out and empires read as light — luminous blooms of claimed space, with borders that shift week to week.
